Save 50% on Top Titles at EA Games at Origin

50% off top titles at Origin games

Back in 2000, I became a loyal and faithful fan of EA games; that was when they released the very first The Sims game and I became hooked for life. Even years later, I still actively play their titles and adore their games. This is why when I heard that there was a sale going on to get 50% off top game titles, I geeked out to the max. The best part, in my opinion, is that this applies to not only PC games, but also to their console counter-parts.

Expires: 5th September 2012

Mass Effect 3My brother and I have played more than half of the games listed here and we could both talk your ear off on why it’s a good title and why you should pick it up. A small listing of what you could get your gamer hands on:

  • Battlefield 3 was $39.99 and is now $19.99
  • Dragon’s Age Origin and Dragon’s Age 2 was $19.99 and is now $9.99
  • Mass Effect 3 was $59.99 and is now $29.99
  • The Sims 3 was $29.99 and is now $14.99–the expansions range from $9.99 to $14.99.

Word of advice: if you’re into the Sims or have wanted to dive into the never-ending world, there’s a new expansion pack about to be released next week called “Supernatural”. Pick up the base game for less now and get ready to explore the world of wizards and fairies and make your own version of Harry Potter.

With all the games that I was looking at purchasing and that I can now afford, I get the feeling I won’t be leaving my house until next year.

Enjoy Star Wars: The Old Republic for Less at Origin Games

You may call me Luke Skywalker and I’m here to rescue you from boring online games. I’ve played my fair share of online games in the last few years, including a stint of time being one of those nerdy World of Warcraft players, and I’m firmly against the idea of paying to play a video game. For the moment, Star Wars: The Old Republic is a game with a monthly subscription, but that is all about to change.

Starting this fall, they are adding a “Free to Play” addition to the game which is a welcome relief to everyone. I turn my nose up at the prospect of paying a subscription to play a game, so this game quickly turned me off; the idea of playing with light sabers wasn’t even enough to sway me. Along with the prospect of playing for free they also lowered the price of the regular game to a simple $14.99 which is peanuts for a game of its caliber.

There’s 30 days of paid game time included with the regular and deluxe version of the game, otherwise it’s $14.99 per month for a subscription. If you prefer in-game items, you can purchase the deluxe edition for $19.99. I most likely will, but I’m also one of those people who bought the Wrath of the Lich King Collector’s Edition just so I could get the in-game baby Frost Wyrm.

From what I can tell the game is only this deal at Origin, powered by EA. So the deal below will take you there.
