If you’re a Montreal-area resident, there’s no doubt that you’ve heard about the Virgin 96 movies in the park –or more famously known as Mix Movies in the Park from back in the day. If you haven’t ever visited one of these events, then you are really missing out. It’s a fun event with food, drinks, games, and of course, a movie. The best part? It’s all free.
At various locations in and around the Montreal area, every Wednesday there’s a new movie and a BBQ for everyone and anyone. The BBQ starts at 7pm with free Lester’s Hot dog and Free Coca-Cola, as well as a free mini-putt game. Get there early to get a good seat and make sure to bring your chair and/or blanket. As soon as the sun sets, the free movie begins!
I’ve been to a few of these when they’ve come in my neck of the woods, and the only issue I’ve ever had was the huge line-up for food, but it’s too be expected. This Wednesday, July 25th, the crew is going to be in West-Vancouver Park, Nun’s Island and they are going to be showing New Year’s Eve. Check out what they are showing September 5th; I know I’ll be there!
