When I heard about this, I didn’t really got excited because I normally don’t shop for clothes at Sears. I like their stores for a bunch of other reasons, but one of the sections that I probably don’t stop by is the apparel one. So when I read that Sears would be launching a publication on the latest fashion trends, beauty, lifestyle as well as home trends I thought that it would be worth a quick look.
I checked the first edition of the LOOK online magazine and I was happily surprised by the clothes featured in it. One of my favourite sections was the one by the Sears women’s wear trend director, Cynthia Florek, who gives some really good fashion advice.
One of the things that I like about the Sears online magazine is that if we find a look that we like we can buy it straight away online at Sears.ca. We don’t even have to look for it, as there is normally a link to the item. Don’t forget to check our Sears Canada promotions page to get the latest discounts and coupon codes.

I couldn’t really believe it when I stumbled upon this Facebook freebie from Vaseline, but it really is true. For a limited time only, through the Vaseline Facebook page, Canadians can get a free full-sized bottle of Vaseline Total Moisture. As you can guess, there are a few steps to be completed before you can get the coupon and enjoy your freebie.
First of all, go to the Vaseline Facebook page and ‘like’ them, this has become mandatory for all the Facebook freebies ;) You then have to choose one of your friends and deserve them a Vaseline Goodness Award. This only takes a few seconds and your friends don’t even need to accept it for you to get your voucher. But if they do, they’ll also get a voucher for a free full-sized bottle.
As you can guess, there’s a limit of one coupon per person. There are probably limited quantities available but I couldn’t find any information about when this promotion would be ending.

Today on February 29th, it is free tea day in all David’s Tea stores. That’s right, show up in any location and get a free large tea! No secret sentence to be mentioned or no coupon to be showed. Each store will have two flavours available that you can choose from, we don’t know which ones yet as it’s meant to be a surprise.
I only recently tasted David’s Tea because I got a sample box at Valentine’s day and I need to say that I’m now addicted. If you know someone who likes tea, then a sample box which contains a bunch of different flavours can make a really nice gift. So far I’ve tried only 3 different ones, but they were all excellent. I normally always have a tea after dinner instead of desert, because it contains a lot less calories.
So for sure I’m going to head to the closest David’s Tea tomorrow after lunch and enjoy a large hot tea. Let us know which flavour you tried?

This is right, today only (February 25th) you could get a free pumpkin or apple pie at M&M Meat stores in Canada. How does this fantastic freebie (hmmm…. apple pie) works? Simply buy for $10 or more of M&M products at one of their stores and you’ll automatically get a pie with your purchase, no printable coupon needed. I’m guessing that if they still have both flavours left, you should be able to choose which one you want to get, but I can’t guarantee it.

They are probably having this promotion because they have too many apple and pumpkin pies left from last fall and these don’t last for ages. So it’s better to run this kind of freebie offer and make customers happy than to throw away good food. I don’t like when stores and restaurants throw away food that is still good for eating. This is such a waste.

Starbucks is in the giving mood this month. If you happen to be visiting one of their stores or know of one in your area drop in and look for the free ‘Pick of the Week Cards‘ which should be on the counter (if they have some left), if not ask them at the counter if they have any more. If you don’t know where your local Starbucks is then use this handy Starbucks store locator.
About now you are thinking what do these cards do? Well basically they allow you to get a free app, just like they do with music (if you didn’t know this then welcome to the world of frugalness). This week’s free app is a good one. it’s for EA’s popular Scrabble App. No idea why EA is making a scrabble app, but I have friends who work for EA; so errrr… well done, I’m sure it’s awesome!

It’s been a while since I last wrote about a free cat food offer, quite frankly because my girlfriend buys the cat food, so I didn’t bother looking for any deals or offers.
However, our local pet store now closes before my girlfriend can come back from work. So I have been left with the honor of buying the cat food and litter. Horray! So or course I went on the hunt for an easier way, or at least a cheaper way. And I recently found a Purina coupon for a free bag of kitten food (1.8kg). Now I don’t have kittens (big ones maybe) but I am a huge fan of varying their diets, I did this with my last cat and she lived until she was 18 years old, so I did something right.
So even if you don’t have a kitten you may still want to get the food for your cat or someone else’s cat.

This is just a quick post to let you know that, tomorrow only, all children 13 years old and younger accompanied by an adult will be able to get in the Hockey Hall of Fame for free. Each adult (price ticket: $17.50) can accompany up to 4 children.
This could be a fun activity to do with the kids if you live in the Toronto area. And it’s quite a cheap one as well, as you only need to pay for your admission. Keep in mind though that it’s probably going to be super packed and full of excited children. Not recommended if you have a headache ;)

How many of you still have a subscription to a paper newspaper? I’m sure that this number has been going down for the past few years. I don’t own an ereader yet, but as of now I only read the newspaper on my computer and so does my friends and family. I’m tempted to think that in a few years, newspapers will be available only in an electronic version as it will cost them more money to print it than what they charge for.
What are we going to use to start our fire then? I’m guessing that we’ll still have all those publicity flyers. It seems like we just can’t get rid of them, even though we put a sign on our door.

This is quite a cool freebie, even though it is only accessible through Facebook. ‘Like’ Lean Cuisine’s FB page and get a coupon for a free Lean Cuisine meal of your choice. Lean Cuisine meals are healthy frozen meals. I’m not a big fan of frozen meals but I think that it does the job once in a while if I really didn’t have the time to prepare lunch. But I rarely buy some as I prefer freshly prepared food.

You could get free fries at Burger King restaurants on January 27th 2012. How does it work? It’s so simple, that you can actually simply show up in a Burger King and you’ll automatically get a free small size french fry, no purchase necessary. It looks like there are limited quantities of fries, so don’t wait too long before you show up.
I think that Burger King are changing their french fries to thicker ones so this promotion is probably to get people talking about it and to try these fries out of course. I rarely go to Burger King restaurants, I can’t even remember the last time I went there, so I’m not even sure how good their old fries were, but I might try these ones though as I really like french fries.

I really like green tea, so I’m kind of wondering what it will taste like with the addition of these fruity flavours. This sounds like a good evening to me; no cooking plus a free movie to watch. I’m going to the supermarket tonight, so I’ll be looking for one of these boxes. Let’s hope there will be some left.

Go on Facebook today and ‘like’ the Herbal Essences page to receive a free sample of the Hello Hydration shampoo and conditioner. It is made with Hawaiian coconut and orchid extracts which are supposed to create a hydrating formula, but who really knows?
It is not specified what size samples are, but last time that I got some from Herbal Essences, they were small bottles which were just the right size for travelling. Let’s hope it’s going to be the same thing this time around because I think I just ran out of shampoo samples, so this would be perfect timing.

If you’ve taken resolutions to eat healthier this year, this offer is not one that is going to compromise your goals. This Dr.Oetker freebie available with this coupon is a 50 calories mousse, in other words, it’s has a pretty low amount of calories in it. I always like dessert that don’t make you feel guilty when eating it ;) I’ve never personally tried this product but it’s supposed to be light and smooth, so I’m more than interested in trying it.

Along with Weight Watchers Slim-fast Canada is offering a free coupon. The difference being is that slim-fast’s coupon is for a free starter kit. I don’t know how long this free slim fast free trial will last, so hurry. It was my first time on slimfast.ca, their website is a little basic, and not super popular yet, let’s hope they update it after this coupon get’s popular.
After all those Christmas and New Year heavy meals and complete gluttony I will definitely be watching my waistline for the next few months. I find swimming the best exercise, and as nearly all our readers are based in Canada you know it can be hard to run and do exercises outside that don’t involve a lot of gear (like skiing etc), so trying to loose weight through diet can be an easier endeavor, this is where slim fast might be able to help, so try the free trial and let everyone know what you think of it in the comment section below, we would love to see some dieters review slim fast in Canada to see if it really works from unbiased sources.

Just like they do a few times throughout the year, iTunes is now offering a selection of free songs, music, videos, apps, books, TV episodes and more. The downloads available change everyday and are accessible only for 24 hours, until midnight ET.
Yesterday I was able to download 3 songs and 2 music videos from Coeur de Pirate that are really good and today when I checked, they were offering a music video and a song by Kelly Clarkson. So I think that the freebies are quite interesting. The promotion has started on the 26th of December and it ends on the 6th of January, which means you still have a chance to grab good music in the following days.
iTunes have partnered with a lot of different companies to be able to offer this freebie. Everyone likes a coupon for free food, so I think you’ll much appreciate this offer for free cake! The coupon expires on the 22nd of December, so you only have two more days to run to an IGA store and to redeem this coupon.
To use this coupon, simply present it at the time of purchase, no other purchase necessary. As you can imagine, only 1 coupon per visit per day can be used. Otherwise people would just fill in their trolley with the cake mix.

Update: The promotion is now back and going on until the 6th of November.
And it’s back again! Starting on February 28th McDonalds restaurants located in Canada are going to be offering free small coffees again. It looks like it’s going to be the same restrictions as for the last free coffee promotion they ran in November; one per customer per visit, no purchase necessary. And this should be going on all day long until March 6th, which gives you just about a week to enjoy free coffee at any McDonalds restaurants in Canada. Time to give McDonalds coffee a try!

For a limited time, anyone with a Facebook account (male or female) can go to Gillette’s Facebook page and take the Voice Check survey to get free samples of their products. Participants must be 18 years old and older plus there is a limit of one sample request per household, while quantities last. Stay posted as it looks like this survey (and the free samples ;) is going to be back every 2-4 months, which means we could get freebies from Gillette quite often if we fill in that survey on time.

Questions of the survey are not intrusive at all, so it shouldn’t be too hard answering it. From what I’ve read I think that the samples are for a Fusion ProGlide razor and an Odour Shield deodorant, so men products. This freebie offer is to try the Body fragrance for women by Burberry. The free bottle you can order is quite small, but it should be enough to try it on a few times to know if you like it or not. I think that it’s always nice to try a perfume on for about one week before buying it so that we can know what friends and family think.

It seems to be the latest trend when it comes to offering freebie offers. Glad is running a promotion where Canadians can order a free sample of Glad compostable bags with Odour Guard. I really like compostable bags as they are better for the environment than the standard plastic ones. I’ve never tried the ones with Odour Guard though so I’m kind of wondering if these really work or not.

In support of the Starlight Children’s Foundation, Cineplex Canada is organizing a community day on October 22nd where they will be offering a variety of free movies starting at 9 am. Customers can also enjoy a regular popcorn, regular fountain drink and select candy for as cheap as $2. The entire proceeds of these products sales will go to the Starlight Children’s Foundation.
I had a look at the selection of movies for the theater close to my place and they had some really good ones. Yogi Bear in 3D, the Green Lantern and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (1st part) were among the choice of movies. These are not the latest released of course, but if you didn’t have the chance to see any of these in a theater this might be a good opportunity. And it sounds like a fun and free activity do to with your kids!
