Beware! Kindles sold in Canada don’t have the web-browsing capability that they do in the US. This is because the wireless providers in Canada were not willing to provide it to Amazon as part of the Kindle package. A Canadian Kindle is functionally inferior.
There are rumors that the books cost $2 more in Canada than in the US… but I can’t confirm that.
